Key Account Manager

Position in the organization:
KAM is a part of the Sales department, reports to the Sales Director and cooperates with the other Key Account Managers.
Mission:
KAM is a key position that involves interfacing with new potential customers and developing current customers’ portfolio as well as efficient management of existing clients in line with the company’s strategy and targets.
Main responsibilities:
• Seek out new customers and sales opportunities, in line with the company’s strategy
• Build long term relations with the key customers
• Personally manage all topics linked to the attributed customers
• Effectively execute and manage every element of the sales process
• Cooperate closely with all other company’s departments to ensure the expected level of service
- KAM is responsible for the whole Sales process which in particular involves:
• Looking for new customers and new RFQ
• Proceeding the RFQ within the organization and preparing the offers in line with the financial company’s targets
• Negotiating the offers and contracts
• Active participation in the NPI process
• Price lists management
• Preparation of reports, analysis (for example: products’ profitability), presentations etc. for the Top Management
• Preparation of the yearly budget and the sales MRF
• Managing on daily basis open points with the customers
• Day to day contact with all company’s departments to ensure smooth customer service
• Good knowledge of steel manufacturing industry (operations of: welding, machining)
• Ability to read and work with the technical documentation (model 3d, drawings, instructions, norms etc.)
• Ability to understand and implement in the sales process the financial ratios and targets of the company
• Experience: min 5 years on a similar position in a multinational environment of a production company (steel / machines industry) in customer relationship management
• Languages: perfect English; 2nd language will be an advantage (Italian, German, French)
• Education: Master degree of University of technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Very good knowledge of Ms Office (especially Excel)
• Characteristics: self-reliance, able to take decisions, acting upon stress, target oriented.
